Club Pix: Gigolo @ Lo Profile Vol 2

This is the second of our pics taken at the launch party for Gigolo. With over 500 peeople, and at least 50% of them delicious with the other 50% being some of London’s hippest people…no wonder we took over 120  pics of which these are the seond half.

Seen Queen Disco Matt form his blog www.discomatt.com said about Gigolo “….we being ushered through the entrance & escorted straight into the club. And were we to be blown away by the promised transformation, the Lo-Profile space having been given the Gigolo stamp, with an ample stage area constructed, resplendent Gigolo signage shouting a smart & stylish statement, while soft seating & other additions gave this Wardour Street sophisticate an even more sumptuous feel. And the crowd were certainly lapping up this launch, a veritable feast for familiar & scene faces all making for the who’s who or the social society scene, the swarms of socialites just coming & coming, the list of lovelies now endless leaving us to exclaim “where do we start?”….read the full review HERE.

Club Pix: Room Service (002)

Without a doubt Room Service has become the gAyLIST party of London, occupying Thursday with one of the most gorgeous crowds you will ever see. They have revived true ‘social clubbing’ reminiscent of early Salvation days. These images are taken by David Hart & Jay Alan Clarke.

According to club reviewer DISCO MATT: “Having been left in total admiration of this Soho social sophisticate, there is absolutely no surprise that this Thursday frolic is not just the talk of the town, but walk’s every bit of the walk that we imagined. Having been going a good six months as we hinted earlier, the hard work of original promoters (we being led to believe) the guys from photpgraphy company Shootmeup in association with Jodie Harsh, have created a real step change to the social scene in Soho, so have to be heartily congratulated on their wonderful work. Yet, as Jodie & her new team take Room Service into a new dimension, it is clear that this night is now firmly established and THE place to be and be seen, the, dare we say it, gAylist crowd, taking us back to the days when style & sophistication was the name of the game and fitting faces rather than letting in any old rabble was common place. Yes, Room Service may have an air of exclusivity, yes Diu’s prices may be a bit extortionate, but when you experience this glorious Greek St gathering, it all makes sense, hence why this night is packed week in, week out. Club Pix & Video: LoveChild SnowBall

LoveChild SnowBall was the first big celebration after the new year events…and this SnowBall they had plenty to party about as LoveChild scooped the SeenQueen.com Club Poll  BEST MONTHLY CLUB of 2010…and these images and Video show you why!

LoveChilld returned for a spectacular white themed party cleverly called the Snow Ball, although the ‘white’ aspect’ seemed to escape the clubbers attention. It was also a very Australian affair with Johan Koury flown in form Sydney and fellow Aussies Brent Nicholls and Terry Vietheer hitting the decks too. Drag-men gogos, one very hot stripper and unexpected snowstorms engulfed the well attended club. The snow itself looked like foam, but kind of settled like snow…it didn’t ‘bleach and burn’ like foam so we were happy to dance in a blizzard in the middle of Fire. The new main room at Fire impressed with it’s new spacious set up. See video!

Disco Matt Review:

“….it had the usual ingredients of magnificent music, super saucy stage shows & plenty of audacious action to chase down. However, as for the “snowball” effect, yes the snow plumes in the main room added an element, but the supposedly virginal look of Fire was distinctly absent, rather with the alluring Aussie action, courtesy of Brent, Terry Vietheer, Troy Cox & the gorgeous Johan Khoury, combined to give it more of a down under rather than an up in the alpine feel, but there was nothing wrong in that. As for the crowd?, well a smattering of scene faces helped break the eclectic (some called it special) feel of the people present, but that said, there is some quite, well lovable about Lovechild, hence why it rose to the top of our 2010 poll…” read the whole review.

Club Pix: Salvation Returns NYD 2011

SALVATION dusted itself from the archives and made a spectacualr return to London on NYD 2011 to London at a venue that had it’s name written all over it.

To quote DISCO MATT : “….To see the place so full must have been heartening for the Salvation crew and deservedly so, as they did put on a prolific party with all the ingredients present that have made Salvation so special over the years, enthralling entertainment, magnificent music & theatrical style shows. All the D.J.’s, in their own ways, delivered delightfully, Guy Scheiman our shining star of this Salvation as his offer was both fresh & fulfilling, although that takes nothing away from either Mis-White or Oliver M who but delivered to expectation and that distinctive Salvation sound. Plus, there was plenty of entertainment on offer to ensure the party had prolific proportions that helped propel this from just any old event into something quite special, the laser lighting & large screen visuals tipping the scales for us in making this a superb rather than a same old Salvation and bodes well for its continuing fortunes in the capital…” >>READ THE FULL REVIEW

CLUB PIX: WE-tastic

The Spanish invasion of super clubs continue as WE came to London on sat 4.12.2010. They promised a party on a spectacular level and that is exactly what was delivered. The Coronet, the former home of SuperMartXE was transformed in a mega pixel, fluoro enhanced dance arena. Here are some images from that night.

Disco Matt said…”We were expecting great things from this WE launch, especially having seen the impact that the brand had made thus far both at home in Madrid and across Europe, but nothing quite prepared us for the amazing effects & atmosphere that we witnessed at The Coronet. To say we were spell bound by the enormous neon effects is an understatement and what’s more, the music matched in every respect, the team of main room stars each adding their own elements to create one of the best Spanish sorties on a Saturday we have seen in London in a long time. Now, we were going to fill our review with amusing analogies, like first wash cycle cold, midway rinse rapturous & second spin spectacular, but to be honest, they would simply deflect from the truly tremendous time we had and the wonderment that is WE. But moreover it would not reflect just how smooth the whole operation was, much down to the incredible organisation of the iLondon events crew, who along with the venue & WE’s Spanish team, should be heartily congratulated for pulling of  this party without hardly a hitch. WE London was Well Executed, encapsulated a Wonderful Ensemble, ended up being a truly Wicked Event and we enjoyed every minute of it, meaning we cannot wait for this Wonderful Espaniol to return, to once again make for the perfect WEekend….(read the full post HERE)
