We are all familiar with how Facebook works. It’s free to use, kind of, and it users supply all the content by ‘sharing’. From that content Facebook than reaps data and than targets adverts specifically aimed at you.
With 1.5 billion users, Facebook is a powerful advertising billboard….and you are not only the content provider but also the reason why people advertise on it.
For Facebook, it’s a one way street…you create & share content, they get the money.
TSU (pronounced SUE) is about to change all that. TSU, in the real sense of the word, is about sharing as it is willing to share their revenue with YOU, the content creator.
YES, TSU still has advertising…that is no different. In fact it looks very similar to Facebook with recognisable functions. The difference is you will get some of the revenue returned to you!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
According to their FAQ they say “tsū shares social revenues that come from third party ads, sponsorships and partnerships. Once economics are created, tsū receives 10% to maintain the platform. Half of the remaining earned revenue is paid to the user who created the content. The other half of the remaining earned revenue is distributed to the user’s network Family Tree. Users on tsū monetize their content and network in perpetuity, which continues to grow alongside the community….”
TSU encourages you to grow your network as that increases the flow of income. It also challenges you to create engaging content and to interact. You see…its all about the flow. Not only can you earn likes…but you also earn money…and that makes better sense.
Everyone who joins TSU gets an electronic wallet which than allows them to do various things….”Users have the ability to transfer funds from their bank to other friends, charities or members. Users can also receive a check for their earned revenue once their bank reaches $100….”
Of course, early adopters will have the largest networks and will receive more of the pie.
SO WHERE DO YOU SIGN UP?
TSU currently is invite only…but I can invite you with this link:
That link is also to my profile, but is serves as your initial invite too. If you click on the LINK it will take you to TSU and you should see a pop-up which asks you to join. This will add you to my network where (like Facebook) you can Friend of Follow me..once you are on TSU you will also be able to use your own link to invite people. They call this network growth the Family Tree.
The best thing about TSU is you can add Twitter and Facebook accounts…and every time you create a post or share something in TSU…you can also decide to share it to these networks to so you aren’t managing three different networks or replicating the same content over again…TSU will do it for you. The difference is TSU will pay you for doing it.
This video has an interview with the founder Sebastian Sobczak (who set TSU up in November 2014) explaining how it all works and his vision of the future for TSU including entering the money market (perhaps the virtual wallet will become the networks equivalent of Paypal?)
I look at Social Networks like online magazines. So far the contributors to these magazines are being farmed for data and targeted for advertising…TSU will no doubt do the same…but at least you are being paid for working there.
I have been on TSU for less than two weeks..and I have $2.oo in my virtual wallet already. That is more than Facebook has ever paid me over the last 6 years! In fact…I have paid them. That day is over.
Of course celebrities and pop stars can be the real winners here. If Taylor Swift imported all her 80 million followers into TSU she would earn $2.8 million per year.
Critics say a person can make much more money putting time and effort into a blog which they can monetize. We are sure those who have the ability to do that are already doing it and no doubt will be on TSU to add to their fortunes.
Of course, could you be bothered with another social network to consume your time? You can sit on Facebook and do what you always do and post away…or you can join TSU and do exactly the same thing and make some money while you are doing it (while still posting to Facebook from within the TSU browser).
Join TSU and lets be part of the next Social Network revolution!
